Transatlantic -DF collection

A collection of furniture and lighting designed in Paris and made in Mexico. All models are woven from coloured plastic rope and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

The project
This project is the result of a reflection on the Mexican artisanal plastic weaving process and its possible evolution towards new object styles.

Belleville bridge chair, Plaisance bench and Vilette lamp are inspired by the Acapulco outdoor garden chairs, the aim was to create new surfaces with a double wall weave system. This system allows the creation of more complex volumes, more suitable for interiors, while keeping the lightness of traditional weaving.
